We have additional hours (10-4) during the “move-in” weekend of August 28 and 29.  Starting September 30th, we will have our extended hours of 8am – 8pm, Monday – Thursday, and 8am – 5pm on Friday.  We will also be open Saturday the 4th.

Please note!  Our return deadline is Saturday, September 4th!

A few things to know:

1. We are cheaper than our local competitor.  It’s that simple.  (Comparing New to New & Used to Used).  Even our rental prices are cheaper. (Including replacement costs & fees.)
2. We can not take order via the web at this time.
3. We are a very small retail store with limited staff, so we are unable to accommodate requests for pricing information via phone or email.  Please be assured that WE ARE CHEAPER than our competitor! You are more than welcome to visit our store and collect pricing information for yourself.  Our staff is dedicated to help our in-store customers and would be happy to assist you.
4. Because we are a small store, we can not hold or “put aside” books for students.  We simply don’t have the space.
5. We are an INDEPENDENT bookstore.  Our competitor is leased and operated by a MAJOR book company. Please support your local businesses.
6. We support the CCSU community, and a portion of our sales go directly to the University.
7. WE ARE OPEN!  It seems that our competitor has been spreading rumors about us (again).  I assure you, we are OPEN, and we’re not going anywhere, anytime soon.

OUR COMPETITOR KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT WHAT STOCK WE HAVE!  It has come to our attention that they’ve been telling students that “they know for a fact” that we don’t have certain books.  THIS IS A LIE.  Please check for yourself.  If you listen to them, you will lose out on big savings.  We have TONS of books.  We are cheaper than they are.  Check for yourself.  Please, don’t be taken in by them.

What does it cost? It depends on the book, but generally Less than HALF of  a new textbook.

What’s the deal?  It’s basically like pre-selling your textbook. The advantage is that you don’t have to outlay all the cash in the begining of the semester.  The downside is, you might be able to get more money if you BUY IT USED and SELL IT BACK at the end of the semester.
